I was about to ask if they were going to clean up the mess they made from drilling wood out from my back door frame but they did not clean up the wood shavings which upset me. I shouldn’t have to ask for your people to clean up after themselves when they make a mess. It’s disrespectful to leave a mess for the customer to have to clean up. They also did not check all the latches on the door frame apparently not realizing that the door frame latch gave plate for the door knob was loose and about to fall off because the screws that are holding it on are stripped. So they didn’t even take the time to put in larger screws and reattach it so that it was stable and solid on the edge of the door frame. Now my back door is getting stuck because the faceplate is loose and about to fall off!!! Yes I can fix it myself but I don’t have the proper screws and I don’t think I should be the one having to do this. Also the knob is messed up on the back door. Doesn’t even turn all the way it’s an old knob. It needed to be replaced. But they didn’t do it. Now I’m going to have to call about this to complain. My address in case the survey is anonymous, is 2008 Alex Ave. Unit A, Austin, TX 78728. It’s a rental with crosstown properties.

My locksmith (I think maybe his name was John) was wonderful, super kind and friendly and went above and beyond to answer questions and help me.

The scheduling part was tricky. The website asked for three optional times. I think it would have been better to offer available times from which to choose. Also the communication was a little painful. A text is sent, but it should probably mention in the text that says don’t text back to email instead. It said to confirm in 15 min to the text, but not how to confirm. The emails give automatic responses along with new responses, so figuring out the latest message took time. The whole communication process was pretty chaotic. However the tech showed up on time, polite, thorough and knowledgable, so it all worked out. Also, the person I talked to on the phone found a way for my locks to be serviced this week instead of next week, for which I was very grateful.

This is my third re-key on my rental properties in the last several months. I’ve had the same tech team each time and they are nice, on time, quick, thorough and always explain if I am in need of something to be code compliant. I’ve used this company for over 10 years and keep calling you all back when I have a need. I am a happy customer.

There’s some work that needs fixing. Where the newly added deadbolt was added there’s a gaping drilled hole and no metal added, it does not add security without the metal and some long screws.

Great experience with Mr.Rekey and our locksmith today. Scheduling was easy, and because they asked for photos beforehand, I got a quote before they even stepped foot in the house! The entire process was smooth. We are renting out our house so he came and got all of our doors up to code (added peephole, deadbolts, etc.) Would definitely recommend

Great service! Scheduled with only 1 day notice, locksmith arrived on time and was done in under an hour. This included a surprise (for me as well) in discovering the garage door had a different lock, for which I did not have the original key. He still managed to match that one also, and gave keys for both front and garage doors without surprise charges. Before leaving he also noticed the front lock seemed a bit stiff, and disassembled the lock again to loosen it. Overall a great experience!

Mr. Rekey was the third locksmith we contacted for our recent move. The two other companies had multiple no shows and many excuses as to why they couldn’t rekey our locks.
